Security challenges found in Middle East 5G rollout

Consultancy firm Booz Allen Hamilton published a new white paper that identifies significant technical changes with the 5G rollout in the Middle East, including the diverse operational value of the infrastructure and associated risks and opportunities. The study found that the rollout of 5G will initiate economic activity broadly through the sale, installation, and operation of new networks. Yet, the new infrastructure and network ecosystem could also result in disruptions to the economy, public health, and public safety.. ‘Now is the time for leaders across government and industry to ensure security, trust, and resilience are the foundational principles of the next generation digital backbone,’ explained Booz Allen Hamilton Principal Ziad Nasrallah.
