Parliament and state legislature in India to use AI

The two chambers of the Indian Parliament – Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha – as well as state legislatures across the country will use machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the efficiency of their legislative work. To achieve this, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs will implement a project called National E-Vidhan, consisting of two phases. The first phase will focus on preparing data to be used in machine learning and AI system. In the second phase, expected to be ready for roll-out in about a year, AI and machine learning systems will be used for more efficient data processing and for simplifying and improving the work of the legislative bodies.
