Online misinformation on US elections fell by 73% following the ban of Trump on social media

According to Zingal Labs, following the ban of Trump on social media platforms such as Twitter, online misinformation on US elections fell by 73%. The research shows that the term ‘election fraud’ fell from 2.5 million mentions to 688,000 on social media sites. Moreover, the study found that hashtags related to Capitol riots declined drastically following the suspension of Trump.
