NIST calls for public consultation regarding IIoT for the energy sector

The US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and its National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) issued a notice asking organizations to provide products and technical expertise to support and demonstrate security platforms for Securing the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) for the energy sector use. This is an attempt of forming a collaboration between NCCoE and technology companies in order to deal with cybersecurity challenges related to protecting industrial IoT networks energy used for distributed energy resource operations. The deadline for input is November 7. 2019. This notice follows the publication of an earlier draft project that dealt with the challenges of securing the Industrial Internet of Things for the energy sector.
