New study finds most cookie-consent tools do not adhere to the EU’s GDPR

In a new study titled ‘Dark Patterns after the GDPR’, researchers from the American and European universities show how most cookie-consent tools do not adhere to the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). According to TechCrunch, the study found that only slightly more than one in ten of the cookie-consent tools they met with the minimal requirements set in European law.
