New report detects Russian disinformation campaigns

A new report by the research firm Graphika detected Russian disinformation campaigns. According to The Washington Post, ‘the operatives use online forgeries, fake blog posts and more than 300 social media platforms to undermine opponents and spin disinformation about perceived enemies throughout the world’. Graphika was not able to identify the organisation responsible for the disinformation campaigns. However, the efforts seemed to target organisations considered as threats to Putin, especially in Ukraine.
