Mauritania’s national optical fiber network construction completed by ZTE 

Chinese tech company ZTE Corporation announced that the Mauritania national optical fiber network construction that started in 2018 has been completed. The 1,760-km broadband telecom infrastructure is a backbone composed of urban loops and an international network interconnection with the landing point for the Africa Coast to Europe (ACE) submarine cable system being at the capital Nouakchott. The network was constructed as part of the World Bank funded West Africa Regional Communications Infrastructure Program.
