Japan and Estonia agree on cybersecurity co-operation

Prime Ministers of Japan Shinzo Abe and Estonia Juri Ratas agreed in Tallinn that the two countries will cooperate on cybersecurity. In particular, Estonia will assist Japan to prepare for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, while both countries will work together against cyberterrorism, media reports. Japan will also join the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Center of Excellence. The agreement comes during the visit of Abe to Baltics, for strengthening the pact with the countries of the region – Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania – in the areas of defence, economics and cybersecurity.
