Google could be diverting online shoppers to its platforms

Google could be fined in more than €1bn for abusing its market dominance in the search engine field. European Union authorities are expected to accuse the company of using its near-monopoly in online search to unfairly steer customers to its own Google Shopping service. If adopted, this would be the first sanction by a leading competition regulator on Google.
