Georgian civil servants e-learning research

In a research conducted in 2020, UNDP and the UK Government assessed the benefits and challenges Georgian civil servants experienced during the Covid-19 lockdowns. The results showed that 63% of respondents fully or partially agreed that online training can be as effective as face-to-face, and 45% said that online learning saves transportation costs. Of female respondents, 30% said that e-learning is an opportunity to combine work, studies, and family duties.

Among e-learning drawbacks, limited social interaction between colleagues and difficulty concentrating on learning tasks were commonly mentioned. Concerning the skills and access to technology, the research showed that Georgian civil servants have access to computers at work and home (91% and 83%), while stable broadband internet connection is available at work for 74%, and at home for 77% of respondents.
