The European Patent Office guidelines for examination come into force
The European Patent Office (EPO) has issued new guidelines for examination of patents, bringing text into line with legal and procedural developments. In particular, the guidelines take a more rigorous approach to patent description amendments on the patents, as well as conducting oral proceedings by videoconferencing.
