EU data protection regulation passes
‘You now have the right ‘to be forgotten’. This is how the announcement that EU data protection regulation passes in Brussels giving citizens right to be forgotten online begins. The long awaited General Data Protection Regulation has user centric reform, negotiated over 4 years, replacing a 1995 instrument. It’s main stipulations allow more user control of data, requires notification of data use, and allows for data portability.
