Egypt’s ACUD signs agreement with Honeywell to build NAC as a smart city

Egypt’s Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) signed an agreement with Honeywell to turn Egypt’s New Administrative Capital (NAC) into a smart city. According to the agreement, Honeywell will install over 6 000 security cameras across a secure wireless network in the city. The cameras will broadcast their signal into a single point of control – an integrated command and control center (ICCC) which will be able to monitor crowds and traffic, track suspicious behavior, and trigger automated emergency responses if necessary
