Egypt to rely on e-learning next academic year amid COVID-19

The Egyptian Minister of Education Tarek Shawky presented a proposal for a hybrid system integrating face-to-face teaching and distance learning for the upcoming 2020-2021 academic year. The new strategy attempts to avoid students gathering at educational establishments and ensure safe study during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is part of the Ministry of Education’s efforts to develop e-learning and distance learning capacities through establishing a digital library containing the English and Arabic system curricula for all stages of the education system.
