Data scientists to tackle air pollution in Uganda

A global competition entitled ‘AirQo Ugandan Air Quality Forecast Challenge’ has been launched in order to encourage data scientists to develop a digital solution that will predict the quality of air in Uganda. Thanks to the Zindi – Africa’s largest data science competition platform, over 400 data scientists from India, Nigeria, Tanzania and Japan are gathering data from sensors scattered around the capital of Uganda, Kampala to predict the air quality.
