China concerned India’s exclusion of Chinese firms from 5G trials

A spokesperson for the Embassy of China in New Delhi is reported to have stated that China was concerned that India had not allowed Chinese companies, such as Huawei and ZTE, to participate in 5G trials in the country. Spokesperson Wang Xiojian said Chinese companies have been contributing to India’s infrastructure construction in telecommunications in addition to providing mass job opportunities in the country. They added that excluding Chinese companies from the trials will only harm their legitimate rights and interests while also hindering the improvement of the business environment in India.
