California asks to join US Justice Department’s antitrust suit against Google

The Californian Attorney General filed a motion to join the antitrust lawsuit against Google initiated by the Justice Department. California will be the first state led by a Democratic attorney general to join the case. The state joined the lawsuit against Google for violating federal antitrust laws by using exclusionary business agreements with phone manufacturers and wireless carriers to dominate the market and ditch competition in the advertising market.
