Algeria blocks social media to counter exam cheats
To stop high school students from cheating during their final exams, Algerian authorities have temporarily blocked access to social media sites, including Facebook and Twitter. Algeria’s decision is not unprecedented; Iraqi officials resorted to the same measures earlier this year.
