Resolutions and Declarations

In this declaration, the member states of the UN call upon the private sector actors to support efforts to prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation through the Internet. The member states also recommend that the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) provides technical assistance and training to States to improve national legislation and build the capacity of national authorities, in order to prevent, detect, investigate and prosecute cybercrime. The member states also invite the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice to consider convening an open-ended intergovernmental expert group to conduct a comprehensive study of the problem of cybercrime, with the view to propose new responses to it.
