The Communication addresses technological developments of the Future Internet and the trends towards smart infrastructures (in energy, mobility, health, work, environment, etc.) and aims to provide a framework to make the most of these trends. The Communication proposes a way forward to develop the future internet and seeks to place Europe at the forefront of the development of smart Europe-wide internet-powered infrastructures, in support of EU policy goals.
