OECD guidelines for cryptography policy

The Guidelines address the issues which should be taken into consideration in the formulation of cryptography policies at the national and international level. They promote the use of cost-effective, interoperable, portable and mobile cryptography; foster confidence in digital infrastructures and services; help ensure data security; and protect privacy without jeopardising public safety, law enforcement, and national security.
