Kalda v. Estonia

After exhausting national legal processes, a case was brought before the European Court on Human Rights (ECtHR) in which a prisoner in Estonia serving a life sentence was denied access to the online Gazette, Supreme Court and administrative court online decisions, and to the online judgments of the European Court of Human Rights. The ECtHR ruled that a prisoner should have access to certain internet sites, in particular when information cannot be obtained/accessed by alternative means.
