Opening new avenues for empowerment: ICTs to access information and knowledge for persons with disabilities

This report is built on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Its main objective is to ensure that persons with disabilities have equal access to information and knowledge through ICTs. It provides concrete recommendations to all stakeholders (decision-makers, educators, civil society and industry) on how to advance the rights of people living with disabilities by taking action at local, national and international levels. It also served as a “status report” of Regional Studies launched in five regions.
