Criteria for security and trust in telecommunications networks and services

Principles and Recommendations

A US-based thinktank, Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), assembled a group of 25 experts to develop criteria to assess the trustworthiness of telecommunications equipment supplies. The CSIS Working Group published the report to complement the work of the Prague Proposal and the EU’s 5G Toolbox. The criteria put forward by the Working Group rely primarily on publicly available information to allow for an assessment of the trustworthiness and security of a potential supplier and outline domestic policies to guide responsible and necessary actions to protect telecommunications networks.
