The case originated in two applications against the Republic of Turkey lodged with the Court under Article 34 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms by three Turkish nationals on 20 July 2010 and 27 December 2010. The applicants complained against a measure that deprived them of all access to YouTube.
