World Smart City Forum 2016

Singapore

The World Smart City Forum 2016 will be held in Singapore on 13 July 2016, co-located with the World Cities Summit. The simultaneous physical and virtual connection between cities can bring significant improvements in efficiency. Yet, this is easier said than done; most systems that are at the basis of smart cities have been designed and installed by different suppliers. The World Smart City Forum will explore how interconnection can be accomplished. It will point to tools that are already available to help cities reach their objectives faster, more efficiently and with better outcomes.

The World Smart City Forum 2016 will point to solutions that might apply to more than one city offering the potential to move them to greater smartness. The World Smart City community and Forum is organised by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in partnership with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
