The second World Open Educational Resources (OER) Congress will be held on 18–20 September 2017, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The event is organised by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the Government of Slovenia, in cooperation with the Commonwealth of Learning, and with support from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
The congress aims to examine solutions to meeting the challenges of mainstreaming OER practices into education systems worldwide; showcase the world's best practices in OER policies and initiatives, as well as OER experts; and provide recommendations for the mainstreaming of OER, with links to best practices.
Participants will include ministers of education, decision-makers responsible for human resources development, senior policy makers, expert practitioners, researchers, and other relevant stakeholders.
