West Africa Forum on Internet Governance 2017

The ninth edition of the West Africa Forum on Internet Governance (WAIGF) will take place on 27–28 July 2017, in Cotonou, Benin.

Under the theme 'Digital security for socio-economic development and peace', the Forum will bring together Internet stakeholder from the West Africa region, to discuss and exchange good practices on issues related to the development of the Internet. Topics featuring in the programme of the event include, among others, cybersecurity and trust, privacy and data protection, Internet shutdowns, and e-commerce.

In addition to providing a platform for discussions on specific Internet-related topics of relevance for the region, the Forum will also provide an exhibition space showcasing innovative digital solutions developed by local players in the digital ecosystem.
