The United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and E-business (UN/CEFACT) will hold a Mini Conference on Electronic Certification, on 27 September, in Bangkok, Thailand.
The aim of the conference is to provide an introduction to electronic certification - the direct exchange of electronic certificates between the competent authority of the receiving country and sending country. There will also be discussions on how e-certification is used by international organisations like the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and on matters such as UN/CEFACT exchange mechanism and experiences of individual countries in using e-certification. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the advatnages of using this application for governments and private sector.
