The 2017 edition of the Net Futures Conference will be held on 28-29 June, in Brussels, Belgium.
The event is intended to explore Internet-related challenges and expectations, in terms of quality and reach, security and privacy, inclusiveness, openness and diversiy. The programme will feature sessions focused on issues such as next generation Internet, business models for the Internet of Things, mobile connectivity, and data protection.
During the event, a session on the Next Generation Internet initiative of the European Commission will look into how the initiative is planned to contribute to a more human-centric Internet supporting European values of openness, cooperation across borders, decentralisation, inclusiveness, transparency, and protection of privacy. A panel discussion will bring together representatives of NGI-stakeholders, from reserach teams, hi-tech start-ups, small and medium sized enterprises and social innovators.
