ITU Workshop on Spectrum Management for Internet of Things Deployment

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will hold an workshop on 'Spectrum Management for Internet of Things Deployment', on 22 November 2016, in Geneva, Switzerland.

The aim of the workshop is to provide a high-level view on several spectrum management issues related to the deployment of Internet of Things (IoT), noting that, within the ITU framework, studies are on-going on: wireless systems and applications for the development of the IoT, harmonisation for short-range devices, and technical and operational aspects of radio networks and systems. 

The four-hour workshops (14.00 - 18.00 CET / 12.00 - 16.00 UTC) will include discussions on issues such as: IoT deployment in terrestrial IMT networks, IoT deployment as short range devices, and spectrum management issues for deployment of IoT.
