The Internet Society will organise an online Community Forum on the theme 'How will the Internet impact societies?', on 15 June 2017, between 13.00 and 14.30 UTC.

Held as part of the organisation's 25th anniversary, the Forum will explore key questions around whether the Internet of the future will be a force that bring people together or divide us. 

The 90-minute discussion will be moderated by Ms. Emily Taylor, Associate Fellow, Chatham House, and will feature several guest panelists, including:

  • Dr. Ismail Syed Shah, Chairman, Pakistan Telecommunications Authority
  • Ms. Rebecca MacKinnon, Director of the Ranking Digital Rights project at New America
  • Ms. Sally Wentworth, Vice President of Global Policy Development, Internet Society

Following remarks from the panel, the community will be invite dto share its views on how the Internet will impact societies in the future.
