Internet Governance Forum USA 2017

The 2017 annual meeting of the Internet Governance Forum USA (IGF-USA 2017) will be held on 24 July, at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC.

The meeting, which will bring together representatives of the various Internet stakeholder groups in the USA, will feature discussions on the following issues: smarter networks, Internet of Things, promoting a more inclusive Internet, nationalism and propaganda, government regulations and data localisation, Internet fragmentation, privacy in the age of data collection, and digital dividends.

IGF-USA is a multistakeholder initiative aimed at promoting constructive discussions about the future of the Internet among civil society, government, technologists, research scientists, industry, and academia in the USA. The initiative is also intended at fostering partnerships, coalitions, and dialogue that help demonstrate best practices In Internet policy areas and help move policy forward.
