The 8th edition of the Portuguese IGF will be held on 13 November in Covilhã, Portugal.

The theme of this year's event is 'Regaining trust in the Internet'.

The debate will take place around topics such as Internet public policy in national and global contexts; decentralised ledger technologies (DLT), including blockchain; illicit Internet content and behaviours; security; and trust in cyberspace.

The event will be organised by FCT (IP Science and Technology Foundation), in partnership with ANACOM (National Communications Authority), APDSI (Association for the Promotion and Development of the Information Society), DNS.PT Association, CNCS (National Cybersecurity Centre), IAPMEI (Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation), Polo TICE.PT, the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and the University of Beira Interior.

The Portuguese Youth IGF will be held a day prior as a pre-event.
