International Conference on the Right of Freedom of Expression in the Digital Age

The second International Conference on the Right of Freedom of Expression in the Digital Age will be held on 3–4 April 2017, at the University of Nicosia, in Cyprus. The conference is organised by the Mass Media Institute, the Department of Communications of the University of Nicosia, and the Cyprus Radiotelevision Authority. 

The conference will give scholars and practitioners the opportunity to explore the broader issue of freedom of expression, with a particular focus on the institutional right of freedom of the media. Topics to be covered include the limits of freedom of expression and/or freedom of the press; freedom of expression in converging communications environments; freedom and privacy in (digital) media environments; and regulatory approaches to issues of freedom of expression and/or freedom of the press.

A call for papers to be presented at the conference has been launched and will stay open until 24 February.
