Inter-Regional Conference between OSCE and Asian Partners on Cyber/ICT Security

4 Apr 2017 - 5 Apr 2017

Seoul, South Korea

The Foreign Ministry of South Korea, with the support of the Secretariat of the Organization for Securit and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) will organise an Inter-Regional Conference on Cyber/ICT Security, on 4–5 April 2017, in Seoul, South Korea.

The conference is designed to serve as a platform to further deepen dialogue on issues related to cyber/information and communications technology (ICT) security affecting the Euro-Atlantic area, as well as Asian region, and, in parallel, offer a platform to further enhance confidence in the cyber domain between some of the most networked states in the world.

Representatives of the OSCE participating States and its Partners for Co-operation will take stock of the OSCE’s confidence-building measures in this area as well as other risk reduction efforts; seek avenues for the strategic co-operation among states in developing domestic and international cyber policy; discuss inter-regional joint activities, establishment of communication channels, and transparency measures; and assess emerging new challenges for states within the cyber/ICT realm.
