Harnessing Artificial Intelligence to Advance Knowledge Societies and Good Governance

The symposium, organised by UNESCO and the Internet Society, will reflect on the impact of emerging new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) on UNESCO's mandate of promoting free flows of ideas and building inclusive knowledge societies. The focus of the event will be on harnessing AI to foster knowledge societies and good governance. It will represent an open multistakeholder discussion on the technological, ethical, political, social, and legal implications of the development and application of AI.

The event will take place on 15 November during the 13. Internet Governance Forum (IGF) at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
