Graduate Institute Lecture: Privacy, Security & Technology

Geneva, Switzerland

The rapid evolution towards ubiquitous computing that relies on digital devices that are connected to the “cloud” and large data centers affects individuals, businesses, NGOs, and governments alike. It also raises a host of new privacy and security issues. In this lecture, Mr Brad Smith, President of Microsoft and alumnus of the Graduate Institute, will provide an insider’s view of technology trends and emerging policy, regulatory, and legal challenges, assessing possible paths to protect privacy and security in this new cloud-based era.

The event will take place on Wednesday, 29th June at the Graduate Institute, Auditorium Ivan Pictet, Maison de la paix, Geneva.
