The Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST) will organise a Regional Symposium for Arab and African Regions, on 2-3 November 2016, in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. The forum will be hosted by EG-CERT, AfricaCERT, and the International Telecommunication Union Arab Regional Cybersecurity Center (ITU-ARCC).
The event will bring together professionals and decision makers in the field of information and communication technology (ICT) from governments, industry, academia, and non-governmental organisations, to discuss aspects related to improving cybersecurity and resiliency for security in Arab and African regions. Topics to be tackled during the discussions include: Internet resilience, critical infrastructure security, Internet security policies, incident response, forensic and malware analysis, and threat intelligence.
The Symposium will be co-located with the Regional Cyber Security Summit, taking place on 30 October - 1 November.
