The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) Big Data Conference will be held on 21-22 March 2017, in Geneva, Switzerland. 

The conference will address the legal, technical, and societal challenges and opportunities of big data for public service media in Europe. It will bring together heads of digital, marketing, and legal departments, editors, technology experts, and academics, to share experiences and best practices for big data media strategies.

The programme of the two-day event will include sessions focused on: the role of big data in helping public service media better serve citizens; discovering content with algorithms; the power of algorithms: limitations and threats; how big data opens up new possibilities for journalists; and the path towards a data company.
