Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT), Indonesian ISPs Association (APJII) and Indonesian CSOs Network for Internet Governance (ID-CONFIG)

Background:

2015 has been a year with significant developments in digital policy, dominated by WSIS+10 negotiations, the role of ICT in the Sustainable Development Agenda, and progress in the IANA transition. At the same time, the balance between cybersecurity versus privacy and freedom of expression was extensively discussed, e-commerce has increasingly been changing existing business models and a dichotomy is emerging between net neutrality principles and the provision of basic Internet services. What are the consequences of these developments for 2016? And how will these developments affect digital policy making in Indonesia? Join us for a discussion on digital policy to find out where we stand and where we are going in 2016.
