[Update] Dr Roxana Radu, Programme Manager at the Geneva Internet Platform and Internet Governance Associate at DiploFoundation, will take part in the competition, in the role of a judge.
The 2018 edition of the 'Cyber 9/12 Student Challenge 2018' will be held on 5–6 April 2018, in Geneva, Switzerland. The competition is organised by the Geneva Centre for Security Policy and the Atlantic Council's Cyber Statecraft Initiative, together with other partners, and will be dedicated to providing students with a deeper understanding of the policy challenges associated with cyber crisis and conflict.
As part of the challenge, students will work in teams for tackle a major cyberattack, respond to evolving situations, and develop policy recommendations. Through interactive learning experiences and a competitive scenario exercise, participants will be challenged to respond to a realistic, evolving cyberattack and analyse the threat it poses to national, international, and private sector interests.
