This month, particular focus is on the Internet and sustainable development goals, with the UN Summit adopting the post-2015 development agenda at the end of September. How can the goals become a reality in an increasingly digitised world?

Other important developments are also taking place: will the USA and China strike a cyber arms deal? Following the opinion of the Advocate General to the European Court of Justice, could European data protection authorities suspend data transfers to third countries, particularly the USA? Will search engines need to apply the right to be forgotten globally, following the decision by the French data regulator?
