The Brazilian national Internet Governance Forum (FIB) will this year take place fully online between 26 and 30 July.
The 11th edition of FIB will include workshops, panels, and virtual roundtables. The FIB has been promoted annually by the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br) since 2011 as a preparatory activity for the IGF. Through it, CGI.br aims to bring participants from government, business, the scientific and technological sector, civil society, and Internet users together; to monitor and discuss issues that are central to the consolidation and expansion of an increasingly diverse, universal, and innovative Internet in Brazil; that expresses the principles of freedom, human rights, and privacy, as stated in the CGI.br's Principles for the Governance and Use of the Internet.
