Asia-Pacific Regional Workshop on Spectrum Management: Economic Aspects

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Ministry of ICT of Iran - ICT Faculty will jointly organise an Asia-Pacific Regional Workshop on Spectrum Management: Economic Aspects, on 21-23 November 2016, in Tehran, Iran. The workshop is supported by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning of Republic of Korea and the Department of Communications and Arts of Australia.

Topics to be discussed during the three-day event include: national spectrum management and international dimensions; economics of spectrum as a resource; spectrum liberalisation and methods of incorporating economic forces and market mechanisms; ways of ensuring access to spectrum; spectrum assignment and the design of spectrum auctions; setting up rules for secondary markets in spectrum trading; re-purposing spectrum bands; spectrum pricing and valuation.

The workshop will bring together policy makers, regulators, corporate executives and managers, among others.
