The 2018 annual meeting of the Asia-Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) will be held on 13–16 August, in Port Vila, Vanuatu. The event will be bosted by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and the Telecommunication and Radiocommunications Regulator of Vanuatu..
The main theme of the meeting will be 'Empowering communities in Asia Pacific to build an affordable, inclusive, open and secure Internet'. The programme for the event will be built following a call for workshop proposals.
The APrIGF serves as a platform for discussion, exchange, and collaboration at a regional level, and also where possible to aggregate national IGF discussions, ultimately advance the Internet governance development in the Asia Pacific region.
