The 2016 edition of the Association of Internet Researchers (AoIR) annual conference will take place on 5-8 October 2016, at the Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany.
The event will be hosted by the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society and the Hans Bredow Institute for Media Research.
The programme of the four-day meeting will include a wide variety of sessions; some of these sessions will deal with aspects related to conducting research in Internet-related areas, while others will be focused on specific Internet-related topics (such as privacy and data protection, freedom of expression, Internet surveillance, social media, Internet protocol numbers, augmented reality, big data, cybercrime, copyright, digital literacy, etc.).
