The presentation on the Innovation Centre Kosovo*[1], the leading integrator of youth, start-ups, and innovative business in Kosovo*, was delivered by Mr Shpend Lila, (Training, Events & PR Manager at ICK).

According to Lila, the mission of the Innovation Centre is to promote and advance entrepreneurship and innovation and enhance the knowledge-based economy. Some of the strategic pillars of the centre are the focus on technical and physical infrastructure, access to finance, support from the public sector and CSOs, innovation, and startup enabling service, to name a few.

Lila also addressed the question of gender balance, adding that he is proud of female entrepreneurs in Kosovo* and hopes to see more women in the ICT sector.

Lastly, he mentioned numerous educational events the centre had organised to promote entrepreneurial spirit in schools. In terms of digital skills, the centre offers ICT courses to students and community members, as formal education may fail to do so.

Lastly, he stressed the importance of regional co-operation, particularly among young people.
