The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Working Group on Measuring E-commerce and the Digital Economy will hold its 2nd Meeting on 3 and 4 May 2021, at the Palace of Nations in Geneva.

The Working Group aims to advance cooperation on measuring electronic commerce (e-commerce) and the digital economy and enhance the availability, quality, comparability, usability, and relevance of statistics on e-commerce and the digital economy, with a view to supporting evidence-based policymaking, in particular in developing countries.

  1. Progress in measuring electronic commerce (e-commerce) and digital economy work by relevant international organizations.
  2. Next steps in the implementation of the revised UNCTAD Manual for the Production of Statistics on the Information Economy.
  3. The use of non-survey sources of data to supplement the traditional measurement of e-commerce and the digital economy.
