2. IMRA Workshop

The second edition of the 'Internet Measurements Research in Africa (IMRA) Workshop' will take place on 29-30 November in Dakar, Senegal, with the goal of facilitating discussions on mechanisms and challenges for the measurement of Africa’s Internet topology. Contributing to formulating strategic directions for Internet measurements research in Africa, and sharing a common understanding of the breadth of Internet research in Africa and beyond; the workshop will cover the following main topics:

• End-to-end Internet performance metrics
• Internet topology characteristics
• Application-level performance
• Physical layer performance measurements
• Cloud computing physical layer performance measurements
• Mobile and cellular technologies
• Detection of middleboxes, censorship, and content filtering
• Data analytics for network monitoring, traffic analysis and network
• Network topology and performance visualisation 
• Internet access, use, and quality of experience (QoE) surveys
